About UCAT

  • UCAT stands for University Clinical Aptitude Test.
  • It is a two hour computerized test.
  • It aims at assessing the mental abilities, attitude, and professional behavior of an individual related to practice in medicine and dentistry.
  • It is the replacement to the UMAT (Undergraduate Medical and Health Sciences Admissions Test) which was conducted earlier for the admission to the various medical schools located in Australia and New Zealand.

The interview date gets released from October mid. However, the different universities have different interview dates for local and international students.

  • The result is valid for the current admission session. It cannot be carried forward to the next year admission.
  • It is a mandatory test for medical school admission in Australia and New Zealand. 
  • Some medical specialization and universities might not require UCAT ANZ
  • It is a 2 Hour Computer-based online test.
  • It consists of 5 separate timed tests.
  • It contains multiple choice questions.
  • UCAT ANZ test once started cannot be paused. However, after each subtest there is a timed instruction section.
